About Issy.
Meet Issy, about to embark on an exciting new chapter in her life as she begins her Bachelor of Physiotherapy through Charles Sturt University. With a focus on online studies, she'll be able to balance her academic pursuits with her role as an Allied Health Assistant at Rise, gaining practical experience while working towards her degree.
Originally from a family-owned stock and crop farm near Bedgerabong, Issy has always had a strong connection to the land and her rural roots. Growing up on the farm, she developed a deep appreciation for hard work and community, values that continue to shape her today. Her passion for helping others, especially within her local community, is a driving force behind her decision to pursue a career in Physiotherapy. She’s particularly interested in the way the human body works, a curiosity that has led her to study the mechanics of movement and rehabilitation.
Issy’s career journey started in hospitality, where she worked weekends while still in school. This early experience taught her the importance of communication, teamwork, and customer service, skills she now applies in her role as an Allied Health Assistant.
Outside of work and study, Issy is an active individual who enjoys water skiing—a passion she’s had since childhood. She also loves running, finding both joy and challenge in pushing her physical limits. Above all, she treasures time spent with family and friends, always seeking to balance her busy life with moments of connection and fun.
